The Sanders Residence is a beachfront property located in the Wilmington, NC area. Having dealt with the clients in person, they explained that they were interested in a modern take on a beach house. My role in this project was creating the renderings to help them better understand the design.

Using Revit 2017 to create the renderings, I wrapped the smaller private side of the house in a horizontal cedar finish chosen by the client. On the larger, more publicly used side of the residence we chose a white board and batten finish with dark trim around all the windows and doors. The most important aspects of this beach house are the rear porches, which border both the master bedroom and the main living space. Since it is situated in an AE Flood Zone, the house must be raised on posts allowing for a covered exterior parking situation underneath the structure.
