The Carlisle’s new home is currently under construction, located on the Cape Fear Riverfront in Wilmington, NC. The clients are a single mother and two kids looking to build the mother’s future retirement home. My role in this project was to meet one-on-one with the client for various meetings throughout the design process, to help spawn new ideas for the overall layout and to create panoramas and renderings that she could to use visualize the home.
The client had a very modern mind while designing this home, choosing ICF breakaway walls for the ground floor, a polished concrete first floor, a standing seam metal shed roof, and horizontal cedar/metal siding finishes. The main concept behind the project was to maximize the views the home had on the river. I created the final renderings using Revit 2017 and Adobe Photoshop.
